Left-hander Kyle Freeland and the Colorado Rockies are in agreement on a five-year, $64.5 million contract that includes a sixth-year player option, sources familiar with the deal told ESPN.

The contract ties the 28-year-old Freeland to his hometown team through at least the 2026 season and will guarantee him the most money for a Rockies pitcher since they signed Mike Hampton to a $121 million deal more than two decades ago.

Outfielder Myles Straw and the Cleveland Guardians agreed Saturday to a $25 million, five-year contract, a deal with two option years that could be worth $39.5 million over seven seasons.

The agreement was the club's third long-term commitment this week.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are building around third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes.

The Pirates and Hayes, 25, have come to terms on a new eight-year, $70 million deal pending Hayes passing a physical, according to multiple reports. A formal announcement isn't expected until the team's home opener on April 12, according to The Associated Press.

It is the largest contract agreement in franchise history.

All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez and the Cleveland Guardians are in agreement on a five-year, $124 million contract extension, sources familiar with the deal told ESPN.

The deal includes a full no-trade clause, per sources. With this year and the pickup of a 2023 option, Ramirez is guaranteed $150 million.

The Houston Astros and closer Ryan Pressly have agreed to a two-year, $30 million contract extension for 2023 and '24 with an option for '25, according to multiple reports.

The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to a two-year, $10.4 million deal with Harrison Bader that allowed the two sides to avoid salary arbitration.

Bader, 27, gets a $1 million signing bonus as part of the deal and salaries of $4.7 million in each of the next two seasons.

The outfielder's 2023 salary can increase by an additional $2.25 million: $250,000 each for 350 plate appearances or 85 starts, 400-98 and 450-111, and $500,000 apiece for 500-124, 550-137 and 600-150.

Outfielder Mitch Haniger and the Seattle Mariners are in agreement on a one-year, $7.75 million deal to avoid arbitration, sources familiar with the contract told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Haniger, 31, led the Mariners last season with 39 home runs and was second on the team with 100 RBIs.
